Harriet Marcia Koslow Warshaw, 81, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Charleston, widow of Gerald Jay Warshaw, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 3, 2015. Her graveside service will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 11am in Emanu-El Cemetery, Sycamore Avenue (Maryville, near the corner of St. Andrews Boulevard with a post office as a landmark next door to the cemetery). Following the service and through the early afternoon on Sunday, the family wishes to receive visitors at 77 Manchester Road in the Sandhurst subdivision of West Ashley in Charleston. Harriet was born July 9, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Henry Koslow and Rose Epstein Koslow. She attended Russell Sage College private college for women in Troy, NY before graduating with fashion design and home economics degrees from the University of Georgia. In addition to being a full-time homemaker, Harriet spent a career in bookkeeping for her father's Henry's Cut Rate Drug Store on King Street, in the cancer registry at the Medical University of South Carolina, and finally at Charleston Memorial Hospital from where she enjoyed retirement. She was a member of Synagogue Emanu-El in Charleston and Temple Israel in Charlotte.
Harriet is survived by her sons: Maurice A. Warshaw (Lynn) of Tacoma, WA and David P. Warshaw (Kathy) of Pineville, NC; daughter, Sally Warshaw Weisman (Bob) of Dublin, OH; a brother in Atlanta, GA and six grandchildren.
