Harold James Ridge

Dr. Harold James Ridge, Jr., 91, of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, husband of Mary Eugenia Aull Ridge entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 5, 2017. A Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Harold was born November 29, 1925 in Tifton, Georgia, son of the late Harold James Ridge and Mary Greer Ridge. He was a graduate of the College of Charleston and University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce 1953-1955, member of The Exchange Club of Charleston for 60 years, past President of S.C. Dental Society, Coastal District, Past President of Charleston Dental Society, and member of John Wesley United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary "Gene" Ridge of Wadmalaw Island, SC; daughter, Eugenia Elizabeth Ridge of Wadmalaw Island, SC; two sons, L. James Ridge (Nancy) of Pomaria, SC, Jeff Carl Ridge (Shelia) of Greenville, SC; two step-sisters, Virginia Browning, and Dorothy Othersen both of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Rachael Casey Hurst, John Calvin Ridge, Tara Kay Ridge, and Cheyanne Lynn Ridge. He was predeceased by a son, John Greer Ridge.
