Harold H. Hill

Harold Hoyle Hill, Sr., 84, husband of Edna Hunter Hill of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.  The relatives and friends of Harold Hill, Sr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Sullivan's Island Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will greet friends at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Mr. Hill was born on September 5, 1926 in Enoree, South Carolina, son of the late James Carlisle Hill and Eunice Lanford Hill.  He attended The Citadel and was a graduate of Furman University, served in the United States Army during World War II and was retired from Moore Business Forms as Sales Manager. He was also a member of the Toastmaster's and Data Processing Managers Association. He was a member of Sullivan's Island Baptist Church where he served as deacon and was a member of Gideon's International and a prayer team member of Mustard Seed International. Mr. Hill began a home-bound food and recorded sermon delivery for their church. Harold is remembered as a kind neighbor, responsible citizen and man of God. He is survived by his two daughters, Marie Hill Nichols and her husband, Rev. Bob Nichols, of Hanahan, SC, and Beth Hill Brawner and her husband, Rev. Rick Brawner, of Clemson, SC; two sons, Rev. Harold Hoyle Hill, Jr. and his wife, Mary Kay, of Glorieta, NM and Charles Hunter Hill and his wife, Susan, of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent Sullivan's Island Baptist Church, 1753 Central Avenue, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482, Gideon's International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN  37214-0800 or Mustard Seed International, 2383 Highway 41 # 102, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
