Harold John Gerhold
Harold John Gerhold, 89, of Awendaw, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 26, 2024. His memorial service will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Harold was born September 23, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Henry Gerhold and the late Borgny Constance Borgen Gerhold. He worked as an auto mechanic, a truck driver and in the Charleston shipyard, and also owned his own septic tank company. Harold will be remembered for the way he loved his family.
He is survived by three children, Ronald Gerhold of Jasper, FL, Randall Gerhold of Awendaw, SC, Bridget Gerhold of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, John Gerhold of Awendaw, SC, Teri Brailsford, Trevor Gerhold; four great-grandchildren, Khloe Hodge, Landon Gerhold, Peyton Brailsford, Cason Brailsford; and sister, Judith Gerhold Duke of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was preceded in death by two sons, John Gerhold, and Gregory Gerhold.
