Harland Harold Reid II, 66, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Sherry "Nohonani" Reid entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 23, 2017. His family will lovingly scatter his ashes in the Hawaiian waters at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Harland was born August 14, 1951 in Poughkeepsie, New York, son of Harland Harold Reid and Polly Slocum Reid. He graduated from Penn State University and earned a law degree from Franklin Pierce Law School in Concord, New Hampshire. Harland served as Assistant General Counsel at the Nissan Corporation. He was a history lover and a fishing, boating, and cooking enthusiast.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry "Nohonani" Reid; daughter, Jennifer Hackney and son, John Reid; sister, Patricia Reid and brother, Shawn Reid; two stepchildren, Gabriel Margulies and Joshua Margulies; 2 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild.
