Hannah Elisabeth Rupp

August 15, 1996 — July 15, 2014

Hannah Elisabeth Rupp, 17, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away suddenly from natural causes on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm. The family will greet friends at East Cooper Baptist Church during a reception following the service on Saturday. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Hannah was born August 15, 1996 in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of Ned Tracy Rupp, M.D. and Charlene Howard Rupp. She was a graduate of Palmetto Christian Academy, with plans to attend Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA in the fall, from which she was awarded a Teachers Education Scholarship. She was active in her church family, East Cooper Baptist Church, where she loved participating in the Middle and High School Mission Trips, was active in the High School Ministry, was a member of the Bible Discipleship Group, taught in Vacation Bible School, and served as a Teacher's Aide for the second and third grades at Palmetto Christian Academy. Hannah was a previous member of the Chorus, both through her home schooling and PCA. She worked hard for her grades in school, and through her diligence and discipline was admitted to the National Honor Society.

Hannah was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ that defined her life. As a daughter and sister, she exhibited a gracious and caring spirit, quick to encourage with word and actions of kindness and easily forgave any offense. Simply put, she cared for others more than herself. Friends have described her as living life with the assurance of heaven and a laugh and effervescent smile that could brighten a room. She was sweet spirit with a passionate soul who always reached out with a helping hand. She radiated happiness and spoke words full of love and truth, never deceiving. As a reliable friend, she could rejoice in the accomplishments and successes of others. What a giving heart! "How lucky am i to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Winnie the Pooh (Hannah's absolute favorite fictional character).

She is survived by her parents Dr. Ned and Charlene Howard Rupp of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her brother, Jonathan Wesley Rupp of Mount Pleasant, SC; her grandmother, Mary Emma Howard of Tampa, FL; her uncles and aunts, Kent and Kim Rupp of Osseo, MI, Brian and Julia Rupp of Stryker, OH; and her cousins, great-uncles and great-aunts. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Lewis Howard of Tampa, FL and Orville Carl Rupp and Frieda Louise Rupp of Archbold, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you celebrate Hannah's life through memorials in honor of Hannah made payable to East Cooper Baptist Church for "WORLD" (a Christian worldview magazine- Hannah's favorite since early childhood).
