Guy Howard Lyon, aged 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, beloved husband of Ute Martha Arnold Lyon, embraced eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Born on July 11, 1939, in Summit, New Jersey, Guy was the cherished son of the late Russell Albea Lyon, Sr. and the late Hazel Stockwell Lyon. He spent 25 years of his life in Warren, New Jersey, where he found great joy in serving the community as the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works.

His passions extended beyond his career, as he was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, a devoted golfer, and an ardent lover of boating. His heart was particularly touched by his cherished cocker spaniels and his latest companion, Emmi. Guy’s warm and genuine spirit endeared him to friends and family alike.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 43 years, Ute Martha Arnold Lyon of Mount Pleasant.
