Gucia Kochman Markowitz, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Charles Markowitz entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 23, 2012. Funeral Services were held at the graveside Monday, September 24, 2012 in the Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery "Maryville", Sycamore Street at 4:00 pm.
Gucia was born January 7, 1927 in Benjin, Poland. She retired as an Owner/Operator of Marko's Furniture Mart and was a member member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Markowitz; two sons: Ira Pincus Markowitz of New Orleans, LA and David (Lisa) Markowitz of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren: Caroline, Anna, Alex, Scott, Michael, Rachael, Cameron, Samantha and Danielle.
Memorials may be made to Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, 182 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403.
