Gregory Blake Covington, 28, of Goose Creek, SC, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at home.


Born July 12, 1983 in Charleston, SC he was one of three children of Leonard D. Covington and Nona T. Covington-Reid of Mt. Pleasant, SC.  Greg's passion was cooking and he enjoyed sports, especially football. 


Gregory is survived by his father, Leonard D. Covington of Goose Creek; mother, Nona T. Covington-Reid and her husband Mike Reid of Mt. Pleasant, SC; girlfriend/partner, Amy Skipper, SC; daughter, Aubrie Covington; son, Blake Covington all of Goose Creek, SC; brother, Ben Covington and his wife Renee of Charleston, SC; sister, Lisa Covington of Goose Creek, SC; nieces, Kristin Covington and Kallie Covington both of Charleston, SC; nephew, Cornelius Covington of CA; aunts and uncles:  Marshall & Donna Williamson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Larry and Jean Pollard (Kimberly and Steven) of Columbia, SC, David and Alma Covington of Columbia, SC, Ray Covington (Trey, Kent and Lyle) of Columbia, SC.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Mary Covington; and maternal grandparents, Warren and Nona Pollard.


The funeral service will be held in Crowfield Baptist Church, 100 Hunters Lane, Goose Creek, SC Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM.  The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday, August 19, 2011 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gregory Blake Covington Memorial Fund, NBSC Goose Creek Branch.
