Gregory Scharff Burnett, 61, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014. The family will host a Gathering of Friends on Monday, February 3, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
Gregory was born July 20, 1952 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Murrell Forte Burnett and the late Cameron Scharff Burnett. A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, he was retired from outside sales.
He is survived by his mother, Murrell F. Burnett of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his two sisters, Pamela Dowling and her husband, Wayne, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Linda Burnett of Mount Pleasant, SC; and his nephew, Will Dowling of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Memorials may be made to East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO), 1145 Six Mile Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
