Gregg Steven Kennedy

Gregg Steven Kennedy, 64, husband of Patricia Ann Hemm Kennedy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. The relatives and friends of Gregg Kennedy are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Sullivan's Island, SC, at 3:00 pm. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Tuesday, June 12, from 5:30 until 7:00 pm.

Gregg was born September 24, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Jean Lueders Kennedy and the late John Kennedy. He attended The Ohio State University and served in the US Army. Gregg spent over 35 years in the retail industry, working as an executive for Federated Department Stores, May Company, Saks Inc., Parisian Department Stores, and Stage Stores.

He and his wife Patricia own and operate Willy Jay's, a contemporary clothing store located on King Street in Charleston. Gregg was a member and Elder of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, and a proud member of "The Missing Links", a golfing group of men at Rivertowne Country Club.

Gregg is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia; his mother, Jean Kennedy and his uncle Robert Kennedy of Myrtle Beach, SC. two daughters Kristine Kennedy of Pittsburgh, PA, and Katherine Kennedy Flaherty of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Jack Flaherty and Cindy Flaherty of Pittsburgh, PA; and his brother Todd Kennedy of Cincinnati, OH.
