Grace Lucille Proveaux Young

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 28, 2010, Grace Lucille Proveaux Young, widow of Marshall James Young, Sr.  Residence, Goose Creek, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at eleven o'clock.  Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway Monday from five until seven o'clock.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464. 

Mrs. Young was born on August 2, 1924 in Bamberg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Benjamin Proveaux and the late Bessie Haley Proveaux.  Mrs. Young was a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II, retired from Woolworth Department Store and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Surviving are two sons, Marty "Bud" Young  and his wife Hope of Winnsboro, SC, Michael Laucey Young of Charleston; stepson, Jerry D. Young of Summerville; two daughters, Marcel Jones and her husband Steve of Goose Creek and Bennie Kearney and her husband Michael of Moncks Corner; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
