Gordon Newell Cummings, Jr.

Gordon Newell Cummings, Jr., 70, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Rhonda P. Cummings of 43 years, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 11, 2024. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in the St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Ave at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Gordan (Newell) was born July 20, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Gordon Newell Cummings Sr. and the late Doris Cummings. Newell was a native to the Charleston area and was the owner and operator of Charleston Pressure Washing. He loved to fish with his grandkids, working in the yard, being on the water with his daughter, spending time with his son in California, and loved life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Justin Cummings (Stephen Birchall); daughter, Nikki Slawson; grandchildren, Jordan Slawson, Jonathan Slawson, Joseph Lawson; two sisters, Phyllis Cummings, Felicia Shealor (Malcolm).

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Mark Methodist church.
