Gloria Virginia Taylor

Gloria Virginia Taylor, 95, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Mouzon Taylor, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Her Memorial Service will be held, at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Gloria was born December 6, 1926 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Alfred Prine and the late Florence Driggers Prine. She was a homemaker.

Gloria was a graduate of Garrett High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Omar Shrine Patrolettes and Cokesbury United Methodist Church. During WWII, Gloria was proudly a long distance telephone operator. She loved fishing, gardening and arts and crafts.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Karen Taylor Smith of North Charleston, SC, son, Mouzon Taylor, Jr. of North Charleston, SC, granddaughter, Jennifer Smith of Summerville, SC, and 3 great-grandchildren: McKayla Tillis, McKenzie Smith, and McKai Smith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
