Gloria Jean McAlhany Howard, 69, of Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, wife of Mark A. Howard died Thursday, December 6, 2018. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 10:00 am until time of the noon service.

Gloria was born December 23, 1948 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Will Calvin McAlhany and the late Mildred Dixon McAlhany. She had a 30 year career as a salesperson for building materials, working for Charleston Lumber, Buck Lumber and Builders First Source.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Howard of Sullivan's Island, SC; son, Troy Bartee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter-in-law, Bobbi Bartee of North Charleston, SC; sister, Deborah Laluk (Nick) and their children of Swansboro, NC; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard C. Bartee.
