Glennan "Mickey" Clark Reeves, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Faye Patrick Reeves died Saturday, July 14, 2018. His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL,1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Mickey was born January 21, 1935 in Reevesville, South Carolina, son of the late David Durham Reeves and the late Nellie Mae Westbury. He graduated from St. George High School and Kentucky School of Embalming in Louisville, Kentucky. Mickey served in the United States Coast Guard and worked as a Funeral Director for J. Henry Stuhr's Funeral Homes for 57 years. He was a member of the Omar Shiners, Life Member of Mariner Lodge No. 2 A.F.M., Scottish Rites, York Rites, and Branch #269 of the Fleet Reserve. Mickey was the Commander 15 years for the American Legion Palmetto Post 112, Chef de Gare Passe du South Carolina for the Forty and Eight and a member of the Forty and Eight Voiture #576.
He is survived by a daughter, Edye Graves of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a son, Dickie Reeves of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Molly Mitchell (Jimmy) of Charleston, SC and Patrick Graves (Stephanie) of Coral Gables, FL; two great granddaughters, Mia and Gabrielle Graves and one brother, Durham Reeves of Reevesville, SC. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Hiott.
