Glenn Carl Wolfe, Sr., 61, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed peacefully to the Lord in the early morning hours of May 2nd, 2019, after a prolonged illness.
Glenn will be remembered for his lighthearted teasing, a knack for nicknames, and comical sense of humor. Those closest to him knew of his enthusiasm and love for all things outdoors. As an avid fisherman and hunter growing up in the Lowcountry, he immersed himself in enjoying the bounty of the South Carolina coast. A generous father and friend, Glenn loved to share his appreciation and passion for motorcycles, cars, and sports with others who will dearly miss and remember their special times with him.
Glenn attended Bishop England and Wando High Schools, proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, and was a dedicated, valued, longtime, employee of the Van Smith Concrete Company of Charleston. Glenn's tireless, diligent, hard-work ethic as the Operations Manager at the company, gave him deep satisfaction through his successful efforts and positive contributions helping to grow and shape his cherished hometown. He treasured his relationships with his work "family."
Glenn was born on January 28th, 1958, and in passing, is now reunited with his father and mother, William Davis, Jr. and Rose Marie (Basha) Wolfe. He is survived by his deeply beloved children, son, Glenn Carl Wolfe, Jr. and daughter, Tara Janet Wolfe, as well as brothers William Davis Wolfe, III and Robert Paul Wolfe, their spouses, Cynthia and Kay, extended family members and last, but not least, his much loved "best friend" dog, Cheech.
A memorial celebration of Glenn's life is being planned for Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm at his residence.
Also, Glenn's Facebook page will remain open for those who wish to express their sentiments and share their memories.
