Glenn Julian Chaplin Sr., 82, of Ravenel, South Carolina, husband of Betty Jean Driggers Chaplin, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 22, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Sauldam Baptist Church, 5945 County Line Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Sauldam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Glenn was born May 31, 1932 in Ravenel, South Carolina, son of the late Julian Sam Chaplin and Julia Ann Postell Chaplin. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a retired employee with the Charleston Naval Weapon Station.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Chaplin of Ravenel; sons, Glenn Julian Chaplin Jr. (Debra) and Bob Randall Chaplin (Celeste) all of Ravenel; daughters, Eileen Miller (Mike) of Ravenel and Alicia Price of Anniston, AL. He is also survived by his eight loving grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Ricky" Allen Chaplin and a granddaughter, Glenda Chaplin.
