Gladys Priester Truett

Gladys Priester Truett, 95, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of James Daniel Truett, Jr., entered into eternal rest Friday, December 29, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

Gladys was born October 20, 1922 in Fairfax, South Carolina, daughter of the late Edgar Amos Priester and Netta Brant Priester. She was a retired bookkeeper with Jacobs Hosiery Wholesale Company. Gladys was a lifetime member of VFW #5091.

She is survived by her two granddaughters, Sheryl Robinson (Gene) of Summerville, SC; Robin Powell (Scott) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julia T. Droze, and son James D. Truett, III.
