Glados Marie Ziegler

Glados "Meme" Marie Ziegler, 76, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of Marvin Eugene Ziegler, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 10:00 am. Interment, Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Meme was born January 24, 1937 in Quincy, IL, one of three children of the late Robert Ralph Reddick and the late Glados Wilhemina Castle Reddick. Meme was the matriarch of the family she dearly loved. She was a loving wife and mother of seven children. She was active in the Bahai faith. She had many friends, and loved her dogs Sparky and Hildi. Meme enjoyed gardening and was also an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Marvin Eugene Ziegler of Goose Creek, SC; children: Theresa Shirley (Gene) of Goose Creek, SC, Mikkel Steffensen (Jackie) of Summerville, SC, Sonja Conner (Jim) of Goose Creek, SC, Johanne Bridges (Jimmy) of Goose Creek, SC, Aksel Scott Steffensen (Shannon) of Goose Creek, SC, Donald Ziegler (Sharon) of Summerville, SC, Andrew Steffensen (Angela) of Goose Creek, SC; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bob and Dorothy, and two grandsons.
