Giuseppe Sacco

Giuseppe "Joe" Sacco, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Antoinette Sacco entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 17, 2024. His funeral service will be held graveside Saturday, December 21, 2024 in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. 

Joe was born October 1, 1941 in Naples, Italy, son of the late Ernesto Sacco and Raffaella Bavaro Sacco. He was active in the church and always up on church events. Joe was a barber for over 50 years in both New York and Charleston, most recently cutting hair locally at Mooneys Barbershop in Charleston. He loved camping, dancing with his late wife, and watching the New York Mets. 

Joe is survived by his two sons: Ernest Sacco (Dawn) of Delray Beach, FL and Joseph Sacco, Jr. (Susan) of Charleston, SC; daughter, Christina Clark (David) of Queensbury, NY; five grandchildren: Heather Bowman (Christopher), Anthony Sacco, Payton Sacco, Annie Sacco and Jacob Sacco; two great-grandchildren: Luca Bowman and Nico Bowman; three sisters: Antoinette Coviello of Morristown, NJ, Ada Califano of Port St. Lucie, FL and Lillian Girardi of FL; and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his son, Rocco, Sacco.
