Gertrude "Trudie" White, 92, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Morton Simmons White entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 14, 2021. A private graveside service will be held in Biggin Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Gertrude was born January 3, 1929 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Ora Cecil "John" Johnston and Gertrude Pieper Johnston. She was a member of Church Creek Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Johnston White of Charleston, SC, Catherine (Kevin) Dixon of Carlisle, PA; two sons, Morton Simmons (Pegie) White Jr. of Walhalla, SC, John St. Clair (Paula) White of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Andrew, Nathan, Trevor and Jessie; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Evie, Kaylee, Brian and Julian.
