Gertrude "Trudy" Mary Moody

Gertrude "Trudy" Mary Moody, 77, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of Terry E. Moody entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband, Terry, caretakers, Lula & Becky and neighbor, Bill at the time of her passing. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Trudy was born February 22, 1948 in Niles, Ohio, daughter of the late Martin Kieltsch and the late Gertrude Kieltsch.

Trudy worked 10 years at Packard Electric in Warren Ohio. She quit to raise their children and be a stay at home mom. Later she worked at Hills Department Store and Ames Department store.

She was at her best baking and taking food in to share at her places of employment and she was good at it. She loved the holidays. Christmas time required a full size tree in every large room in her house. Decorating her home for every holiday was a pleasure.

She loved spending time with her husband, always ready to go for rides, going to country music shows in Wheeling WVa, camping. Always having a smile and a good word for anyone. Lifes simple pleasures made her happy. They shared 51 years of first dates, sitting beside each other to watch TV movies while still holding hands in later years.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by children: Michael J. Moody (Janiece) of Bel Air, MD and Martie J. Moody (Andrew Goforth) of Poulsbo, WA; sibling, Richard Kieltsch (Frances) of Aiken, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Andrew Kieltsch and Helga Stone.
