Gertrude Yetta Lowenthal Levine, 95, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 24, 2017. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery "Maryville" on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Gertrude was born August 24, 1921 in New York, New York, daughter of the late Morris Lowenthal and Dora Steinberg Lowenthal. She was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Stewart Levine of Charleston, SC; daughter, Dr. Maura R. Levine Silken (Dr. David Silken) of Manhattan, NY; and a sister; Bernice H. Lowenthal of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
