Gertrude Lucy Paquette Lessard, 87, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Laurent Lionel Lessard, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 27, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at Saint James Episcopal Church, 1872 Camp Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

Gertrude was born December 30, 1935 in Biddeford, Maine, daughter of the late Wilfred Paquette and Irene Begin Paquette. She and her late husband were the owners of Laurent’s Custom Framing.

Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Rooke Hinson (Arthur "Bud") of Johns Island, SC; son, Michael P. Lessard (Nancy) of Clover, SC; three sisters: Priscilla Jalbert of Saco, ME, Lorraine Farley of Biddeford, ME and Dorothy Petit of Newport Richey, FL; four grandchildren: Charles S. Rooke (Rachel), Jonathan Rooke (Heather), Sarah Jean Hinson Moody (Carson) and Michael P. Lessard; four great-grandchildren: Jessica Rooke, Jon David Rooke, Michael P. Lessard III, and Harper Lynn Moody.
