Gertrude Ida Pecoroni Hummel, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and formerly of Groveland, FL, wife of the late Fred Hummel, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010.  All services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Hummel was born on May 19, 1916 in Buffalo, New York, daughter of the late Anton Pecoroni and Ida Meyer Pecoroni.  

She is survived by two daughters, Linda H. Fitzharris of Mt. Pleasant, SC and  Barbara Hummel-Rossi of Pittsboro, NC; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Fitzharris of Columbia, SC, Kelly Fitzharris Morrow of Columbia, SC, Brian Hummel Rossi of Bethesda, MD and Andrea Rossi Mospan of Durham, NC and three great grandsons.
