Gerri Lynn Fields

Gerri Lynn Fields, 67, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Richard E. Fields, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at Florence National Cemetery Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

Gerri was born December 18, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia, daughter of Lee Anna Burks Meekins and the late Marshall Alvin Baldwin. She retired from food services at SPAWAR.

She is survived by her mother, Lee Anna Meekins and daughter, Glenda Probo, both of Summerville, SC; daughter, Carole Bittle of Dardanelle, AR; two sons, Christopher White, Jr. of Springfield, MO and John Hony, Jr. of Florence, MS; grandchildren: Kayla Probo of Spartanburg, SC, Houston White of Midland, TX, Christopher Austin Cruse of Maumelle, AR, Mary Kathryn Cruse of Dardanelle, AR and Sgt. Drew Hony, USMC and Taylor Hony, Spencer Hony, and Jacob Hony, all of Florence, MS; three sisters: Helen Harmon of Bluefield, WV, Cindy Ruse of Summerville, SC, and Mickey Hillard of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Larry Kipfinger of Roanoke, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Joint Base, 1004 Jefferson Ave., Exn Building 717, Goose Creek, SC 29445-8613.
