Geraldine "Gerri" McNeill, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Rev. James R. McNeill died Saturday, September 29, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 1, 2012, in the First Assembly of God , 2957 Savannah Highway, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Gerri was born October 22, 1928 in Conway, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lonnie Stalvey and the late Inez Causey Stalvey. She worked 30 years in Civil Service as a Statistician. She retired in 1979 from the 6th Naval District Headquarters at the Charleston Naval Base. She served as a minister's wife for 63 years. Gerri and her husband pastored and served 19 churches in the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a member of N.A.R.F.E. and a charter member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Conway, SC.

She is survived by her spouse, Rev. James R. McNeill of Charleston, SC; a son, Rev. Randal McNeill (Christine) of McDonough GA; 2 daughters, Teresa Burrell of Douglasville, GA, and Sharon Kennedy (Rev. Stan) of Florence, SC; 4 brothers, Horace Stalvey (Delores) of Milford, DE , Maurice Stalvey (Juanita) of Newton, NC, Rev. Mendel Stalvey (Barbara) of Lake City, SC, and Bill Stalvey (Judy) of Stanley, NC; 2 sisters, Nell Singleton of Conway, SC and Barbara Benton (Johnny) of Lincolnton, NC; a brother-in-law, Rev. Howard Wright of North Charleston, SC; a sister-in-law, Louise Stalvey of Wadesboro, NC; 9 grandchildren, Rev. Jay Kennedy, Shelly Kennedy, Loren, Devin and Lindsay Burrell, Madalyn, Jameson, Meredith, and Melody McNeill; 4 great-grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Tyler, and Rachel Kennedy. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lonnie E. Stalvey, Rev. Walton Stalvey, Almand Stalvey, 2 sisters, Jean Stalvey and Mozelle Wright, a granddaughter, Robin Kennedy, and a grandson Justin Burrell.

Memorials may be made to World Missions of the SC Conference of the IPHC.
