Geraldine Dunlap Fox, of Charleston, S.C., died in her home Saturday, March 12,
2011.
Born in Camden, S.C., Gerry never met a stranger and made every person she encountered feel appreciated. She was dedicated to children and was very involved and supportive of her own kids' activities. She also aided and inspired many children as a rehabilitative nurse and as a volunteer for Very Special Arts. She was an enthusiastic volunteer with Footlight Players as a stage manager and costumer, spending many hours in the costume department preserving countless garments. Gerry loved animals and had a special soft spot for cats. One of her greatest joys was reading. She was a member of Sweet Magnolias Red Hat Society.
Gerry is survived by one son: Louis Fox (Donna) of St. Louis, MO; one daughter: Emily Fox (Raymond Wheeler) of Berkeley, CA; and four grandchildren: Josephine K. Fox and Cordelia B. Fox both of St. Louis, MO, and Arlo F. Wheeler and Griffin F. Wheeler both of Berkeley, CA.
