Gerald George Thibodeau , 74, of McClellanville, SC, husband of Myrtis Brown Thibodeau, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 17, 2012. The relatives and friends of Gerald Thibodeau are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in Wilson Cemetery, Awendaw, SC at a time to be announced. The family will receive friends at the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Tuesday, November 20, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Gerald Thibodeau was born February 2, 1938 in Faribault, MN, son of the late George Thibodeau and Agnes Jurassic Thibodeau. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a machinest with Detyens Shipyard.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, three daughters, Ruth Barr and her husband Charles of Chapin, SC, Rachel Hodge and her husband Dennis of Gaston, SC, and Brandi Thibodeau of McClellanville, SC; two sisters, Gloria Cox Elund and Barbara Mogenson, both of Minnesota; three brothers, Robert Thibodeau of Minnesota, Jim Thibodeau of South Dakota, and Dick Thibodeau of Washington; nine grandchildren, Tonya, Robert, Amanda, Adam, Amber, Morgan, Hannah, Averie, and Gerald; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Thibodeau and his brother, George Thibodeau.
