Gerald Lafayette Surface, 67, of Summerville, SC died Saturday, February 18, 2012.
Born June 21, 1944 in Lancaster, PA, son of the late Gerald Arthur Surface and Ethel Theresa Dermont Surface. He was a manager in shipping. He received his Bachelors Degree from the College of Charleston.
Mr. Surface is survived by his two sons, Michael Surface and his wife, Teresa of Greensboro, NC and Steven Surface and his wife, Kristen of Hanahan, SC; daughter, Tammy Surface Turner of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Troy Surface, Michael C. Surface, Brian Surface, Amanda Surface and Phillip Turner; three brothers, Howard, Michael and Joseph; three sisters: Constance Rozychzko, Tomi Surface and Stephanie Wiggins.
The memorial service for Gerald Surface will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
