Gerald "Jerry" Forlaw

Gerald "Jerry" T. Forlaw, 91, of James Island, South Carolina, husband of the late Avanelle Forlaw entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 3, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Epworth United Methodist Church, 1540 Camp Road at 11:00 am, where the family will receive friends in the sanctuary beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414.

Jerry was born November 20, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida, a son of John R. Forlaw and Merle Hawkins Forlaw. He retired from Coburg Dairy in home delivery and spent many years thereafter as a local paint contractor. He is a former Member of the American Legion Post #147, and the Charleston Rifle Club. He was a charter member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his five daughters; Charlene F Hunt, Judy Cook, Loretta Forlaw, Angela Christine Campbell, Sandra Gail Forlaw, his son-in-law Donald Cook, 15 grandchildren; Letha, Michele, Stacie, Jamie, Joey, Paul, Jessica, William, Denise, Jonathan, Nicole, Julie, Trey, Christopher, and Angela along with their spouses and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Avanelle Forlaw, his son, G.G. Forlaw, daughter, Jenny Kyle, granddaughter, Sherry Forlaw and brothers, Bob, Russell, Johnny, and Dick.
