George Parker Yon, Jr. 86, of Charleston, SC, husband of the late Lottie Cammer Yon died Saturday, April 18, 2015. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

George was born August 8, 1928 in Charleston, SC, son of the late George Parker Yon Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Hall Yon. He was a retired textile mill supervisor with Raybestos Manhattan. George served in the Navy on the USS Missouri during WWII and was a life member of the Hammerton Masonic Lodge No. 332.

He is survived by two sons, Gary S. (Yvonne) Yon of Eastover and Rodney D. Yon of Bonneau; daughter, Sherrie Yon Davis of Goose Creek; two grandchildren, Chelsea Davis of Goose Creek and Drayton R. Murphy of Goose Creek; one brother, Oliver L. Yon of Goose Creek. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil and James "Buddy" Yon.
