George Woodrow Wilson, Jr., aged 73, of Lincolnton, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at his home. Born January 5, 1953, in Charleston County, South Carolina, he was the cherished son of the late George Woodrow Wilson, Sr. and Edith Motz Farrell. A dedicated serviceman, George retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of honorable service to his country.

He is remembered with love by his children: son George Wilson III and Katie Morrison of Lincolnton, and daughter Barbara Fleuret and her husband Paul of Charlotte. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chloe, Charlie Smith, and George Wilson IV. He also leaves behind his siblings, Paul Wilson, Scott Wilson, and Nancy Wilson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Wilson.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on August 22, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. in South Carolina at 11 am.

Memorials in honor of George may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Burke Mortuary in Maiden is assisting the Wilson family during this time. Other arrangements are by J.
