George Szego, 94, of Charleston, SC, widower of Virginia Goer Szego, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 27, 2015. His funeral service will be held at the graveside Tuesday, September 29, 2015, in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

George was born March 22, 1921 in Budapest, Hungary. He was a retired professional jeweler, a World War II Army veteran, a member of The Church of The Good Shepherd, former member of the Elks Club, VFW and the American Legion.

He is survived by two sons, Bruce Szego (Sharon), and Glenn Szego, both of Charleston; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
