George Stocko, 71, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Ursula Gottschalk Stocko died Sunday, December 3, 2017. His funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 in The Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, 265 North Shelmore Blvd. at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at a reception in George's honor, Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.

George was born February 23, 1946 in Mailes, Germany, son of the late Leonid Stocko and Tamara Buczynska Stocko. He was owner of PPT LLC, a former Mason and an active member of East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club serving as the Club's Foundation Chairman.

He is survived by his wife, Ursula Stocko of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Alexander George Stocko and his wife Josie Taylor Stocko of Atlanta, GA; his sister-in-law, Lieselotte Ableitinger and her husband Helmut Ableitinger of Austria, and sister-in-law Gaby Stocko of Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Stocko.
