George Thayer Ricks

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 26, 2011, George Thayer Ricks, Jr. Residence, Hollywood, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm in The Church of The Holy Communion. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Wednesday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.

Mr. Ricks, Jr. was born July 28, 1951 in Charleston, SC, the son of George Thayer Ricks, Sr. and Agatha Aimar Glover Ricks.  He retired as a Boilermaker and served with local Charleston Union as a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. He was a member of The Church of The Holy Communion.

He is survived by his Mother of Charleston, SC; one sister: Agatha Glover Ricks of Charleston, SC; one nephew Craig Joseph "Joey" Mathis, Jr. of Charleston, SC and extended family.
