George Edgar Polk

George Edgar Polk, 77, of Hanahan, SC, husband of Pamela Harvey Thompson-Polk entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 2, 2023. The family will observe a private funeral and a public Celebration of Life Service will be announced later.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

George was born August 26, 1945 in Beaufort, SC, son of the late Quillie Edgar Polk and the late Jackie Carter Polk.  He was a graduate of USC.  He was the Owner of Palmetto Fence Company.   

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Thompson-Polk; son, George Trenton Polk (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Cathryn Rahn (Kenneth) of Warner Robins, GA; additional family, Andrea Lynn Simon (Mark) of Cocoa, FL; Cathryn Brown (Marshall) and Robert Rahn (Teri); four grandchildren: Hunter Polk, Brittny Mayerlen, Mark Simon II and Michael Simon; numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Polk and his sister, Linda Jean Polk.
