George Rembert Parr, Jr., 63, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Kathleen Barrett Parr, died Friday, December 22, 2017. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 8:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Born August 7, 1954 in Charleston, SC, he was one of three children of the late George Rembert Parr, Sr. and the late Esther Sperlbaum Parr. He retired as a captain with the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and had also worked as a paramedic with Roper LifeLink. George was a member of Victory Christian Church and was the drummer in the praise band, Faith Haven.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy and daughter, Ashley Lauren Parr both of Moncks Corner, SC; two sisters, Cindy McDougal of Summerville, SC, Diane Edwards of North Carolina; nieces and nephews.
