George Marshall Leet

George Marshall Leet, 77, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Nancy Pielage Leet, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 20, 2025. His Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 2:00 pm until time of the service.

George was born March 15, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland, son of the late George Arnold Leet and Courtenay McFadyen Leet. He was a graduate of The University of Cincinnati, where he earned a BBA, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He later went on to earn an MA from the University of New Haven, CT. As an avid sailor, he raced in Long Island Sound, Chesapeake Bay, and enjoyed sailing throughout the Midwest. Later in life, he found his new passion in the game of golf and regularly made countless new friends at his local gym.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; his brother, Duncan Leet (Louise); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barbara Guerrero (J. Richard), James Robert Pielage (Marie), Patricia Elliott (Marcus), Margaret Gilbert (Steve), Thomas Pielage (Anne), and Teresa (Cathy); one niece and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Leet.
