George Victor Kulik, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Roye Lynn Kulik entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 2, 2017. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 273 Meeting Street at 2:00 p.m. The burial service will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 at Sunset Memory Gardens & Mausoleum in Mint Hill, NC.
George was born June 7, 1934 in Braunschweig, Germany, son of the late Viktor Franz Kulik and Anna Ringleb Kulik. He was an Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division and was a Green Beret. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was an engineer with Cummins Engine Company. After his retirement he worked as a Consultant for Cummins in China for several years. George was a member of the American Legion, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
At Trinity he served in various leadership positions such as, Chairperson of Trustees, Chairperson of Administrative Board, Chairperson of Staff-Parish Relations Committee, and Superintendent of the Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years; one son, Victor Roy Kulik of St. Helena Island, SC; three Grandchildren, Miranda Kulik, Lauren Kulik, and Alex Kulik; Cousins Erika Cichacki, Marion Purr, and Doris Kuhn all of Germany, as well as many other relatives in Germany. George will be remembered for his love of family, his delightful wit, and his love of a good conversation.
