George "Bill" Williams Jones

George "Bill" Williams Jones, 94, of Summerville, SC, husband of Bettye Allmond Hardee Jones, died Sunday, March 20, 2016. His memorial service will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
Bill was born October 1, 1921 in Burlington, NJ, son of Amy Gilbert Jones and Archibald C. Jones. Mr. Jones was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill. He served 4 1/2 years in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for several corporations and in the sixties he and Bettye built a motel, The Chart House, in Kill Devil Hills, NC which they owned and operated for almost 20 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Bettye H. Jones and numerous cousins.
