George Edward Huff

SMSgt. George Edward Huff, USAF Ret., 87, of Summerville, SC, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015. His funeral service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

George was born November 25, 1927 in Boston, MA, son of the late John William Huff and the late Regina Toussaint Huff. Following his military career he retired from civil service at the Charleston Air Force Base. He was a member and Deacon in Berkeley Baptist Church in Moncks Corner and for several years served as President of his Sunday school class. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Frances H. Price (Curt) of Moncks Corner, SC and Carole Gillespie Marconi (Tony) of North Charleston, SC; son, John W. Gillespie (Kathy) of Cane Bay, SC; five grandchildren: Scott A. Price, Kevin L. Price, Deborah Gillespie, Billy Kroeger and Sandy Lewandowski; five great-grandchildren: David, Madeline, Lily, Ashley and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Huff and sister, Helen Keenan.
