George Albert Herms

George A. "Bud" Herms, 91, husband of Elisabeth Shaw Herms of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Franke at Seaside in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  The relatives and friends of Bud Herms are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Rodenberg Chapel at Franke at Seaside at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends in the narthex adjoining Rodenberg Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Bud was born February 14, 1920 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late George Albert Herms and Mary Emma Moore Herms.  He attended Ohio State University and served in the United States Army Corps in the Pacific theater during World War II.  He was the retired owner of Herms Floral Company and Greenhouses in Portsmouth, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elisabeth S. Herms as well as son, John M. Herms, daughter, Suzanne L. Herms, daughter-in-law, Shirene Hansotia, and son-in-law, Robert S. Ollerhead. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Lutheran Hospice, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Suite 46, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
