George Layton Habermann, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Teresa Jefferson Habermann, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 10, 2025. His memorial service will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 in Charleston Baptist Church at 1:00 pm, and a visitation will follow in the church. Burial will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 10:00 am.

George was born March 20, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, son of the late George Adam Habermann and June Habermann. George was a hard working family man. He loved his family as well as his job as a painting contractor, and was a member of Charleston Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his son, George Justin Habermann; grandsons, Ryan Habermann and Jayden Bailey; and stepson, Martin G. Gipe, III.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Grace Habermann.
