George Henry Doyle, 82, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Dorothy Doyle passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013. A Celebration of George's Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the All Saints Lutheran Church, 2107 Highway 17 N, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mr. Doyle was born July 14, 1930 in Akron, Ohio, son of the late James L. and Fannie Parker Doyle. He retired from General Motors where he served as a Supervisor. George was a fan of all sports, and in his youth played football, was Golden Gloves boxer, and loved to play golf and go bowling. But when it came to sports, he was especially a fan of THE Ohio State.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Evelyn Doyle of Mount Pleasant, SC; his sons, Jeffrey (Patricia) Doyle of Davisburg, MI, James (Gwen) Doyle of Oakland Township, MI, and Jay Doyle of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his sisters, Agnes Stulpin of Westerville, OH, Thelma Hoffer of Mansfield, OH, Daisy Jackson of New Philadelphia, OH, and Joyce Dudley of New Philadelphia, OH; his six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his son, George.
