George Gadson Browder, Jr., 84, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Wilma Jewel Jennings Browder died Monday, March 19, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 in First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive at 2:30 pm. Entombment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. George was born April 13, 1933 in Columbia, South Carolina, son of the late George Gadson Browder, Sr. and the late Janie Bell Coleman Browder. He was a graduate of Moultrie High School and attended Carson-Newman College. George served in the United States Navy and was a former chemist with Flyback Company and US Plywood. He was retired from his business, G.G. Browder, Inc. painting contractors and was a member First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Browder of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, George Gadson Browder, III (Sue) of Wasilla, AK and Edward Allen Browder (Mary Elaine) of Sanford, FL; granddaughter, Victoria Browder of Sanford, FL and grandson, Matthew Reynolds (Ashley) of Punta Gorda, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Browder.
