George W. Binzen, 72, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Ella Wright Binzen died Saturday, July 30, 2016. His family will host a Gathering of Friends Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

George was born May 22, 1944 in Joliet, Illinois, son of the late Arthur George Binzen and the late Alma Wilson Binzen. He was an engineering supervisor with BP/Amoco for over 35 years.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Ella, he is survived by his children, Gary Wright, Susan Mayberry, Anita Harrelson, Bonnie Caruso, Carla Daniel, Jeff Binzen, and Duane Binzen; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Jerry, Mike, Tom, and Robin Binzen; and sisters, Georgina Binzen-Viner and Jacque Dynia.

He was predeceased by his daughter, LaVonne Baker.
