Geneva was born July 3, 1949 in McClellanville, South Carolina, daughter of the late John T. Wright and Gladys L. Blakely Wright. She was a waitress, working for 30 years at the Idle Hour restaurant, where she became best friends with her boss and mentor, Dolly. Geneva loved spending time with her family; from taking "girl trips" with Julia and Maria, going to Luz's Place, or just being together. She was an avid fan of her favorite soap opera "General Hospital", enjoyed playing the scratch off tickets and was a lover of the "bling", often wearing many rings on her fingers. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Geneva is survived by her grandson, Fredrick "Chase" (Dena) Wright of Goose Creek; great-granddaughters, Madison and Analynn Wright; sister, Julia Powell of North Charleston, SC; brother, Theodore "Teddy" (Kay) Wright of Round O, SC; niece, Maria (Jack) McClure of Salley, SC; nephews, Donnie (Kelley) Brown of Summerville, SC, Michael Powell of Alvin, SC and Daniel Smith of Tennessee and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Barry Lynn Wright; brother, George Wright and three sisters, Susan Wright, Doris Smith and Marylou Cobb.
