Garret David Davis

Garret David Davis, 18, of Goose Creek, SC, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Newberry, SC.

Born January 22, 1993 in Greenville, SC he was the son of Gary Allen Davis and Patricia Bagwell Davis.  Garret attended Stratford High School where he was an accomplished musician who played with the Stratford Orchestra and was selected for the SC All State Orchestra. Garret played first chair double bass with the Charleston Youth Orchestra of the Lowcountry (YOLOW).  He was a 2011 graduate of Newberry High School. Garret was also a volunteer junior fireman with Caromi Fire Department in Goose Creek.

Garret is survived by his parents of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Katherine Anne Davis, of Goose Creek, SC; grandparents, Anne Davis Michaux and Macon W. Michaux of Goldsboro, NC; and birth mother, Prissy Phillips of Newberry, SC.

The funeral service will be held in Peace Presbyterian Church, 174 Londonderry Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.  His family will greet friends following the service at the church.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
